The result of a collaboration between French designer Olivia Dar and Aneek W, this upcycled jacket in pure silk crepe is a unique piece that carries stories and tradition. The highlight is the vintage Baluchi embroidery, handmade by young women before marriage, bringing an authentic cultural touch. The front zipper combines practicality and style, while the contrast between the fluid fabric and the detailed embroidery results in a piece with identity and soul.
The Baluchi people, of nomadic origin, now live between Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan, in a region formerly called Baluchistan. In the province of Sindh, women still embroider for special occasions, but these traditional crafts are disappearing due to political conflicts. By incorporating these works, we seek to keep this heritage alive, allowing other cultures to celebrate it as well.
